The inception of Wellco Drilling, Inc. grew out of a necessity for WATER, that life source that is so natural and valuable to each of us.  We have been serving the entire mountain area for over 30 years, providing hard rock water well drilling services.  Wellco Drilling, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Steve & Barbara Franco.  As the business took off, Steve shortly recruited his brother Jeff to run the drill rig.  After working many successful years, Steve & Barbara decided to retire.

To keep the business locally owned and operated, in 2020, Jeff and his wife Abby (Childers) decided to carry on the family business with their son Sam helping along the way. We consider our company as part of the fabric of the community.

We value our customers and strive to meet each individual customers’ needs.  We feel our customers are best served by designing and constructing a water well that is efficient and has longevity.  This requires an understanding of proper well design, water well drilling techniques, construction materials, local geology and logging, well development and grouting techniques.
